Kio Kio School Supporters’ Committee
We are a small, hardworking, relaxed group of parents that come together once a month and organise events. These events help fundraise for a specific purpose e.g. the playground, Recreation Centre remediation, tennis courts, as well as smaller academic resources such as i-pads, books, sports equipment and sports uniforms. The committee is run similar to a school PTA where we elect a Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary every March at our AGM. Traditionally we have had a staff representative attend the meetings which helps with feedback to the teachers and Board of Trustees. Examples of recent fundraisers that we have held are a fashion show, ice-skating, quiz nights, barbeques at school/interschool sports events and our major fundraiser, held yearly, is the Fireworks/Gala Evening. The committee has successfully raised on average $25,000 per year over the past six years.
